Title: what time do black cat shows usually end?

i'm going to this wednesday show at the black cat in may with a 4 band bill.  if doors open at 8:30, what time do shows like these usually start and end?  i ask because i want to know if i can see the whole show and still catch the last metro ride home.

Oi, wot time do you lot get ill?  Kidding.  Shows usually end around 12:30 or so.

12:30?  well that sucks doesn't it?  there's no way i can get a ride meaning i have to take the metro home meaning 11:30 is when i gotta get my ass out of there.  why do black cat shows start so late?  don't they realize some people do take the metro there and metro closes pretty early?

I like late shows. The latest the show starts, the better.

4 bands, first on 9pm, and usually on the hour thereafter (maybe a little closer for the first two to give the headliners more time).  Still, after midnight.

9:30 Club is the only venue that tries to work with the metro schedule, but even there, it's never a given.  Just a fact of life.  Imagine the old days when the metro stopped at midnight on Friday and Saturday too!

I remember those days, when we would take the subway in and a friggin' bus back out.  Buses are really fun at 2 am.

The last show I went to, Caron Wheeler, it didn't until around 2 or 2:30am. That was on Friday, February 6th.

that's the rock n' roll lifestyle in the big city, bro...maybe you should rent a zipcar or do a hotel night with friends or something?
