McLovin
this affectionate, sweet-natured beast appeared in my alley a couple of months ago. He is almost a full-grown adult, and unlike the other feral cats who live behind my house, he is definitely used to being domesticated, and is getting panicky as winter sets in about being homeless. It looks like his previous owners decided they didn't want him and just turned him loose.
If anyone is interested in an adoption, and is capable of taking good care of him, let me know...

ahhhhk no. i just rescued a cat. he's beautiful.

we have a ton of this in our neighborhood, the wife and i have brought in and found home for 4 cats already this year. I believe people get them for mice in the winter, then when winter is over...no more mice..no more cat!
its heartbreaking

animals are cute and i love them just like the next person (i own two cats myself), but the domestication and ubercuriosity of them have led to zoos, circuses, cruelty, overpopulation, horrible deaths. perhaps we should ban pets and let them reverse evolutionize themselves into a species of canine and feline creatures that eventually in the far off future will be pitted against us for final domination of the planet.

walkonby makes me smile.
my family's taken in three strays from the neighborhood. each of them has appeared around this time of year. with temps dropping and food becoming more difficult to find, i'm sure mclovin would be forever grateful to have a good home and a caring person. wish i could...
he's feral, right? it looks like his ear's tipped. if so, he's neutered, which means one less vet bill! c'mon guys :)

walkonby makes me smile too.
I think we should stop calling homeless people "homeless" and start calling them "feral." That would rock.

That idea brings a smile to my face and a pop to my taco.

He's actually not feral, which makes it more heartbreaking... the feral cats in my alley, of which there are many, keep their distance, and they get on OK. This guy desperately wants to get into my house, and he is also desperate for affection. He sits out there yowling for hours. I would take him in but I already have a cat and she won't tolerate it (and is very upset by his continued presence at the back door).
His ear is clipped because the woman who takes care of the alley cats trapped him and got him neutered and got all his shots a week ago.

I wish I could, but I have way too many pets as it is. I wish you luck though, the winter can be pretty devastating and he really looks like he would be a great pet.
