Title: Magazines
Post by: on December 21, 2004, 09:01:00 am
What's your #1 favorite print magazine...the one you read religiously?
 ---

Team Dupek is a MAD subscriber.  MAD has gotten waybetter recently.  There was a general declension in the late eighties-early nineties, though MAD has rebounded with the death of the National Lampoon.  Many Lampoon artists now work for MAD.  Team Dupek was once a rabid NATIONAL LAMPOON reader.

Besides MAD, Team Dupek subscribes to:

 FUNNY TIMES (lefty cartoons)

Soldier of Fortune (SOF got a lot more readable with the outbreak of a real shootin' war.  They were really waiting a long time for it.   I'm sorry, though, that they sacked Col.David Hackworth's column and replaced it with Ollie North.  It seems Hackworth was a bit too critical of the Bush doctrine.  Oliver North's stuff is not very interesting in comparison.  That, and you'll be hard pressed to hear any dissent from such a hot dog like Ollie.)

Newsweak (I got it to read on the toilet.)

Did Ollie ever see war first hand, or was he always a paper pusher?  I would complain if he is just a paper boy.
