Call me crazy, but I think a Radiohead show at Constitution Hall would actually be very cool.  Assuming the sound would be ok, I think it'd be a fine place to absorb a Radiohead show.

I don't think good sound is possible at constitution.

it would be nice to be able to catch radiohead within 300 miles of my house, but i wouldn't go to DAR for it.  i'd rather travel to philly or elsewhere than go to dar.  and i didn't like the tower theater when i went.

 i'm eyeing the SF shows.

i thought rh was a big band.  on the level of mci arena or merriweather/nisson or at least patriot ctr.  ch seems too small.

they certainly are, but they seem to be avoiding arena one offs in favor of two night stints at smaller venues.  if they are playing the Auditorium in Chicago, for example, why not play at the United Center or the Allstate Arena?

I think they prefer the acoustics of the theaters.

i was thinking it had something to do with them not being on a label at the moment and not having label $ to produce an arena/amphitheatre show.

that is a complete guess on my part.

Normally, they are.  They played Merriweather last time around.  Did that sell out?  I know the reserved seating was filled.

However, this appears to be a get-out-of-the-studio-and-experiment type tour.  Not exactly a big scale tour.

after reading six million and three radiohead articles/sites etc...i am now guessing DC doesnt even get a show on this tour.

so pack your bags for Philly people!

Radiohead to play Boston's Bank of American Pavilion on June 4th and 5th.

does this mean, hope for Merriweather?

or do they just hate the DC area!

Actually, I think that Seth and any of the other promoters are afraid of tempting the weather gods. Especially considering that they would be in the area so close to the HFStival.

Boston - Bank of America Pavilion
 June 4th and 5th
 tickets on say may 6th

 Toronto - Hummingbird Centre
 June 7th and 8th
 tickets on sat may 6th

They always do small tours when experimenting/working out new songs.  I saw them in Spain before the release of Hail To the Thief and it was amazing.  The drive to Philly will be well worth it.

i havne't been there. i had 4th row tickets for a show there a couple years ago but bailed on the trip.  i'll be splitting the cost with some other people, so overall the trip shouldnt' be too terribly expensive.

that's the situation i used to be in.. heh
there will probably be several of us roadtripping from toronto-> montreal (assuming we can all get tickets) so that'd be even more ways split for a hotel room.

i haven't been to montreal since the last radiohead show there and i'm looking forward to going back.

It's not the draw I was talking about. It's bringing the storm clouds out at the same time as an outdoor festival.

Just woke up at 6am like normal, checked WASTE, saw they were not available yet. Before jumping in the shower, hit refresh and they were on-sale. I believe around 6:30am.... Same thing happened in 2003, but I believe it was 4am in the morning.
