I'm thinking a great vintage tee, maybe under a hip button-down, with good black pants and shiny doc martens.  ???  I dunno...but I've no doubt it can be done.   ;)

They do sell Docs at Nordstroms.  That's actually a great idea, 'cuz then he can pick up a couple pairs of Kenneth Coles for work.

my brother-in-law wears Kenneth Coles, and they look fabulous -- they're nice but still cool and chunky.  What can I say...I'm a chick, shoes can make me swoon.

I'll admit, I have a pair of Kenneth Cole shoes. Bought them at a thrift store in Baltimore for five bucks. They're comfortable, and look alright as well. So they meet my criteria. Don't think they make me look all that "indie" though.

Thanks for the tip.... Do they size regularly? I have never owned a pair, if I have them sent I want to be sure they fit....
