I thought I'd repoast this so the newbies can take a good shellacking.

Which FLAME WARRIOR (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame1.html) are you/
-
We do have a lot of Archivists. I don't know who I am, and I think for the most part you always make yourself seem better than you really are.

This is clever...I love the little illustrations...

I'm definitely not the Nanny...that would be more suitable for someone like Bags or Markie who always reprimand people for their racist or looksist or sizist comments...
-
I did that once....which indicates to me that you're rather an archivist (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame41.html) in your leanings. And in fact, I didn't even remark on the porky comment, but on what I read as a pretty smug reply to that by you.
But, that's over.
I see myself as an eagle scout (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame64.html) because I tend to post lots of articles and links, but I realize that's picking one of the few pretty positive profiles.

I can live with being an archivist...fortunately for me there's no archetype for "yes man" or "vacuous bimbo"...
I kinda took you for one a these (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame24.html) too, maybe, but again, that's not really so shameful, and I doubt whether others on here would agree with me
-
Well, maybe if you substitute the random discussion of my cat (because I don't have one, nor would have one) with the random discussion of Dave Grohl, I can buy it. I didn't think I was full of vacuous comments, but hey, we all think we're more interesting than we really are.
-
it's the spirit, not the letter...
-
Just trying to digest all this.......
I would say that some of the charectisations are very accurate.
But GGW is clearly Kung Fu master.
Kosmo is clearly royalty.
Dupek had them the opposite way around.
Am I really Big dog? If so who is me too?

Look, if carry on like that this board will clearly die.
-
oh come on, if you guys thought about it for two seconds you know I wasn't a strumpet for two main reasons: I hit on women even MORE than I hit on men, and I am always single ;)
I would say I am a Big Cat (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame82.html) because I rarely get involved in any arguments on this board. or maybe a sycophant or a cry baby. but strumpet...no. almost, but my jokes are FUNNY DAMNIT :p lol

"we should all just procreate with each other and form little half & halfs I'm doing my part! "
-
ok those were low blows. if you'd rather me not post here, I won't. goodbye.
-
oh and markie, "I make a lurid joke?" was a question in answer to your question, "what happens now?"
-
I know Samantha, I realised that just as I had found your quote. But by that time I thought I might as well carry on.
I like you posting here. Every board needs its strumpet. You are the antithesis of Flawd.

I don't need to stick around for more digs on such a soft issue. I really don't find my pregnancy a big joke. at all. you can laugh about it when I'm gone, but I don't need to see it.
-
Why do YOU always bring up your pregnancy? I am truly sorry if you have had some tough times. But you brought it up, again.

look up, I didn't bring it up
-
Oh shit, sorry.
I guess after you put it on the board it becomes a topic of discussion. I dont think anyone has been as mean to you as the have been to Rhett about his declarations.
Errr, sorry.
I didnt mean to cause offence, OK?
-
Samantha, it's probably not a good idea to mention any personal information that is bore than boring, mundane stuff on this or any chatboard. People (myself included) tend to think that because they are on the internet, that gives them license to be as mean, insenstive, and rude as they wish.

live by the sword die by the sword......
Except i cannot remember Samantha ever attacking anyone. But in general I think people have been sympathetic to Samantha.
-
I thought the people on this board were better. otherwise I wouldn't have shared. my mistake. I have to deal with the consequences, so I guess I just won't come by as much. I really do not want to be around people who would make those kinds of comments. ggw, that was really low.
-
yeah ggw do i need to get royality on your arse?
-
Oh, cry me a fucking river.....
Don't make repeated mention of something on a public forum if you don't want it to be public knowledge.
I deleted my comment.
-
Well, apparently too much time has elapsed for me to delete.
King Kosmo -- work your magic, if you would.
I still think it was a funny comment. December 25th....get it?
As long as I still amuse myself........
-
And I regret having ever mentioned anything personal, as well as havin attacked anybody personally (unless it was in response to their attacking me personally).
I think with the case of Samantha (and myself too, maybe) she has the need to say provocative things to get people attention. Seems reasonable for someone who is home schooled to long for attention of the outside world. For me, I can go days at work just doing work without interacting with anyone.
My friends tend to like the provocativeness. People who don't know me are either offended or frightened or miffed, or whatever. Probably the same for Samantha.

Kung Fu Master vs Strumpet......
It surely would be an easy win for Kung Fu Master, but somewhat dishonourable. He brings shame to his village.

as far as I can tell it's still there. I have always taken responsibility for my actions, and I never had a problem with people knowing it. the problem I have is with people who make someone's personal issues into an insulting joke. I admit that mentioning it was a mistake. if you notice, I did not ask YOU to leave, I offered to leave myself, and I'll come back when insensitive comments like yours don't offend me. I'm not asking you to do anything. I just thought the people on here were better that I didn't have to ask, they were more mature and caring. Most are, but the rare comments like yours touch a nerve and I'll come back when it's been calloused.
-
Actually, Kosmo, this whole issue does bring up a question -- it seems like the ability to edit messages has changed. It's a MUCH shorter timeframe in which you can still do so -- certainly less than an hour. Though I'm happy to see an end to so many mary j bilge's, is there a way to get it back for a day or so...?
Rhett, I thought you're post on this was very thoughtful and a good point over all.
-
Perhaps there should be some suggestions for additional characters for the flame warrior list...perhaps borrowing the name from here (http://www.agentprovocateur.com/)

I only post jokes that I myself find funny. Mostly because they are funnier to me to read them than to just think them. I'm fine entertaining myself, but things are much funnier with other's input.

ooh my very fave underwear...........well after la perla......
you know the guy who is/designs agent provocateur is the son of vivienne westwood and malcolm mclaren...............

That's called adolescence. Samantha will outgrow it. Will you?

I always thought of Markie as the bastard son of Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm Mclaren.

It's now set to 60 minutes... I tried setting it higher awhile back but it defaulted to 20 minutes. I didn't try changing it because I figured that 20 minutes was as high as it could be set. In retrospect it was stupid Internet Explorer autofilling the 20 in for me :D
-
If you're the poster man for adult maturity, I should think I'd rather remain an adolescent.

I apologize for starting this thread. I didn't want it to turn into such an arena of emotional vulnerability. Chill... (http://koti.mbnet.fi/badbee/wavs/stress.wav)
I DO AGREE with everyone's assessments of me, though. Spot on!

Ruth Ann? (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame58.html)
Sailor Ripley? (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame58.html)

Me, the Lurker? Seems that way, except that I hadn't been on the board for a couple weeks. I wasn't even lurking. I wish I had been cos now I'M BEHIND!!
Thank you for thinking of me ;)

GGW is the ultimate Archivist and we have a lot of Royalty around here.
We all know who this is (http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame54.html).
