With all this back and forth about Justin Timberlake, you guys have TOTALLY forgotten the reason we are all here:
ANDREW WK
Thu, Oct 23
The Tavern - American University
I hope this grounds you all...
-
Did he buy an apartment in DC? He sure seems to be playing here a lot.

will it look something like this? <img src="http://snowontrees.net/pictures/photoalbum/andrew%20w.k..jpg" alt=" - " />
I will go if someone else comes along.... I am not sure the tavern would be so much fun moshing by myself. the Lulu's show was excellent.
-
That's just scary that he's playing there! I wonder if they've fixed the ceiling tiles since we played...

Unless something else I'm forgetting is happening that night, I will be there. I've never been to the Tavern, though. What's it like?

You got me thinking....... Actually it is the same night as Travis, so sorry, but I wont be going.
The tavern from what Jadetree said was small and shitty.....

A very open place that serves a common area for AU students. Most days it just has tables set up. Usually when they set the stage up it's where a bunch of the tables are, itâ??s only about a foot off the ground. This place is not designed for hosting a live event. Think a small step up from a cafeteria.
This discussion was held on the board before, for Superdrag, but sometimes these events are private for AU students only.

the new teenage fanclub greatest hits record is now available through emusic... and oddly enough not on itunes
-
I'm beginning to think I may never seen you or the missus again...

AWK just did a free show for GWU students two weeks ago, and apparently only 100-200 kids showed up for it

students, by definition, have a lot to learn?
Are you not thinking of the show at Lulu's that was free and sponsored by DC101 about a month ago?

the tavern is not well designed for an awk show. i wish i could be there to see it.

No not the Lulu's show- it was GWU and I noticed him in the Tower Records there signing stuff at the desk before the show- it was like a Will Farrell bit on SNL- there were about 5 people waiting to get CDs signed which would've taken about 1 minute, but he spent 5 minutes apologizing to them how he had to go do the show across the street ; a loud speech that cycled around and around "I'm sorry I have to go do the show and can't stay to sign stuff but I'll be back after the show, so I'm sorry but I have to go do the show and can't stay to sign stuff but....", ad infinitum. What a stoner! Then the GW Hatchet article about it said few students showed up
