Ditto on PJ Harvey. Some OK songs, but really not even close to her best. Maybe it's just as well that she didn't tour. I actually really love the Air CD and think it's underrated. Not their strongest, but there are some fantastic songs on that record.

The new Bad Religion album.  I know most of their albums sound the same anyway, but at least some songs stand out on most of them...but not this one.

And Air.

I have no idea what the people who are listing Bloc Party and The National are thinking.

agreed...man, i was so excited for the new air album and then i ended up liking only, like, two songs on it.
i thought the album they did with charlotte gainsbourg was AWESOME and then this was..bleh.

also super disappointed by Voxtrot, Kings of Leon, and Rufus...the albums I was looking the most forward to turned out to be the worst.

I'm going to go with Voxtrot, too. I don't know what happened to them.

Clappers/Shins take the prize, but Voxtrot was disappointing, too.

I was disappointed by way too many albums this year...

Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Bright Eyes, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah,. Decemberists, Josh Rouse, New Pornographers, Ryan Adams, The Shins, The Stooges, Ted Leo

I love all of these artists (well, not the Shins, but they're good enough), but have no interest in ever hearing their 2007 releases again.

Definitely smashing pumpkins

Am I the only one who loves the newest Voxtrot record?  It was one of my favorites of the year...

I think that "Icky Thump" should be called "Icky Dump". There were like 2 songs on that thing that were good, the rest of it blew.
