Then heading out to a local record seller, probably the one that smells like patchouli, with the new TSOOL from the night before cranked up.
While at the record store the following will be purchased with a big grin on my face.
Brenden Benson
Decemberists
Bloc Party
Kaiser Chiefs
LCD Soundsystem.
Then it's back in Ned the Newtonian Mini and spending the rest of the day driving with the new tunes cranked up.

The next batch of Eno reissues is also scheduled for 3/22 (film music stuff this time).
Got LCD. Yr gonna like it. Now bring 'em to the club!
-
And Queens of the Stone Age!!!

Slight change in plans... Actually had to be into work today for "important" stuff so the buying and cruising will be delayed.
Mornings commute soundtrack powered by The Litle Barrie EP downloaded from eMusic and the Dears.
Speaking of eMusic, they are finally working hard at competing in at least the indie release area with ITMS. The new Decemberists popped up for download last night verses being delayed for several months. New John Doe is available also..

Since I'm hitting the record store thought I'd find out what else is out there... A brief skim of CMJ reveals three bands I'm considering adding to my list. Two of which have EPs (a trend that I'm glad has returned) and two US acts trying to sound British. Any schuttlebutt on these folks?
Mommy and Daddy (EP) Yet another M/F Duo Like what I'm hearing... the Kate Pierson + Pil-era Lydon vocals are winning me over. See that they are headed towards the Warehouse Next Door in April.
The Adorned (EP & Britlite) Love the CMJ description of "Ever fallen in love with a band you shouldn't fallen in love with?". Smackie must the smackdown on these guys as they hail from LA. They even have Pete Shelly guesting on a track.
While those sound like winners, there is little love for The Golden Republic. Any rumblings on this guys? It appears they are all over the map influences wise... British accents via Kansas City.

I have one track, and dont like it at all, but they are opening for Graham Coxon, so I guess I will see them.

Did anybody pick up the Louis XIV full length?
I have the EP and wasn't sure if the full length was worth it to buy new or wait until it could be found used.
