Is your name "K8teebug" becasue you feel that you are somehow a type of insect? ...Maybe even a pest??? Perhaps you were expecting other bboarers to spray you as a common courtesy..?
-
Didn't get Volume in the mail...anyone want to give a hint on the password?
-
why isn't it working? is it going to the wrong tickets.com link??
-
The error message is saying that tickets don't go on sale until tomorrow, even though the newsletter says it's supposed to be today.
-
My question as well -- I worried I had the wrong password (of course I left my Volume at home, but it's pretty easy).
It couldn't have sold out in 30 seconds, could it have?
-
Not working b/c my guesses at the password aren't good enough!
-
Another tickets.com snafu....
-
Bot something is kind of working, because before 10:00, you didn't get a window to put the password in. Odd. No surprise there I suppose...
-
It had to sell out in 10 seconds if it did sell out. I was hitting refresh until something opened up. Didn't this happen with another presale a couple of months ago...it started working 30 minutes after it was supposed to?
-
Anyone called customer service yet?
-
on the phone now. being transferred to supervisor.

I'll keep checking...though I think we should all be fine in the regular sale tomorrow. I think this show will sell out tomorrow, but not in the first 10 minutes (unless I'm really underestimating how many folks will, upon reading about the end of the band, buy tickets from other parts of the country to see one of their last shows. The DC show is really their only chance, as the NY and Phillie shows had only some tickets left when the announcement was made).
-
Yet another reason why I prefer albums over concerts: no puppets.
-
They said to talk to the 9:30 box office. Oh well. Tomorrow sounds good...I have to go to work.

Gorramit!
-
it's working now!
-
I just got through and purchased my ticket!
-
I take back my complaint -- while it was giving me a no tickets available in the quantity you want (1) for a while, I got four tickets.
Can you believe -- only $15 for tickets. Oy.
-
Try again. my first order wouldn't go through then i went back through the 9:30 main page again a few times.

muthafucka. I had someone in my office for 5 minutes, and while I can get in now, there are no 'seats' available.

Got 'em! Guess it wasn't my password sleuthing that was holding things up.
-
Just got two tickets!
-
I had same problem...I couldn't get 1 ticket, went through the homepage again, and suddenly 2 tickets were available. Sweet.

I know! They should be charging more than that! Maybe this is the real reason why they are breaking up? They're not making enough money to make it worth their while! Wasn't there an article a while back that said they still had full-time jobs?
-
Is there an opener or is it just Sleater-Kinney?

Good question! We don't know yet, but they usually have an opener... Dead Meadow last year, The Thermals in 2004, and The Quails and V for Vendetta in 2002. Ah, fond memories....
-
I'm surprised there are still tickets available through the pre-sale...
-
Got my ticket! Thanks guys (you know who you are).
There is an opener, but I forget who it is. It isn't the Thermals.
-
I think it would be cool if they announced -- a day or two befor the tour starts, when all the tix are sold out -- that Pearl Jam was the opener. Someone should look into that.
-
My vote's for Quasi, although probably wouldn't happen. I bet since it's their last tour it will be a band that's close to them since they'll want to have fun and go out with a bang.

TOOL or Elvis are my votes for the openers.

There is a monthly newsletter called "Volume" that comes by old-fashioned snail mail. That is where the S-K pre-sale info was.
Go to the frontpage (www.930.com) and click on "mail list" to submit your address.

Ah, very good to know. Thanks!
-
I've submitted my address a couple times in the past few years and have yet to receive a Volume in my mailbox. Maybe 930 needs to team up with Val-Pak. I always get my Val-Pak.
And the Rogers Sisters are opening for S-K.
-
I got my Volume newsletter late last week.
Ironically, I can't stand Sleater Kinney so the password was of no use to me.
About half the time, it arrives about 2 days after a password is needed for the monthly sale. Maybe they should try to stagger the dates just a bit. Don't know all of the logistics of what is involved though.

Very good opening band, can't remember who I saw them open with at the Black Cat a couple of years ago, maybe a few years, but they were good.

I saw them open for Art Brut a couple months ago at the Black Cat. I didn't hate them, but don't remember much so were probably just alright. Two chicks and an Asian guy if I'm not mistaken.
-
I just picked up four tickets!
-
Sold out - that was fast...
-
(cue: bitching hipsters who think they're the only people who want to see a classic band's last show, and didn't buy tickets. they then place 100% of the blame on anybody who decides to resell them on the secondary market)
-
Got four as well -- just barely.
-
So, how much do you think you'll sell them for?

got my tickets, totally stoked
the last record was so fucking noisey, it was like they decided to try to sound like a bit of hawkwind
-
and i mean that in a good way
-
wow, that sold out in like 10 minutes. i'm glad i got my tickets 2 seconds past 10:00. :D
-

i've heard rumors of a late show being added, actually..
-
bump because this is now 10 days away....and there's probably about 100 tickets on ebay and craig's list combined that haven't been sold yet. i wonder how many tickets the scalpers actually started with for this show and how many will end up not being used.
