anyone making the trip up to baltimore tonight? i hear he's playing with a band on this tour which is nice b/c ive only seen him solo.
-
i really want to go, especially since i already have practice tonight in baltimore... but i have a feeling i won't. also, no one will go with me. arg.
-
rumor has it he's touring again in late summer /fall so hopefully you can catch him then...and hopefully he'll play DC..even though i doubt it.
-
He never plays DC! (Not since 2001).
I'll be making my semi-annual schlep up to Baltimore to see him, though. His set lists so far on this tour have been a nice mix of April, covers, and RHP classics. His voice is completely transporting live and he's great at insulting hecklers.
-
I wonder what the turnout will be like. I believe his last show in annapolis sold out.
-
just read this about last nights show in pittsburgh...
Just to let everyone know the Pittsburgh Diesel Show was rescheduled for 8/20/08. Due to Illness. I had class and work during the afternoon. A fellow Pittsburgher and Koz fan, as I was about to head to the Southside, said that the show had been cancelled due to illness. So I'll look forward to see him in August.

i was SO looking forward to this for the past couple months, but i'm afraid i should keep my pink eye home :( pink eye? wtf?!
-
Yikes, is tonight's show on? I don't want to drive 2 hours round trip for nothing...
-
the ottobars site says nothing about it being cancelled. ill probably call before i head up.
-
I just called the Ottobar - Koz is already there and the show is a go.
-
awesome
-
i might make it out there tonight. Anybody know when he goes on?
Edit: Nevermind, it isnt sold out.
-
well, he got started a little earlier than I expected....
Can anyone tell me if I missed anything? I walked in during "Tiny Cities"...
-
You just missed Trucker's Atlas.
-
Damn damn damn...I am so bummed I missed this show. How was it? Anyone have a setlist or idea of what was (mostly) played?
-
Setlist was:
Trucker's Atlas
Tiny Cities Made of Ashes
Heron Blue
Gentle Moon
Lucky Men
River
Summer Dress
Lost Verses
Tonight In Bilbao
Blue Orchids
Carry Me Ohio
Duk Koo Kim
--
Find Me, Ruben Olivares
Glenn Tipton
Katy Song
--
Four Fingered Fisherman
Moorestown
Nice show, Mark seemed in good spirits, about the normal amount of crowd-ribbing ("I've got a much more important show tomorrow night...").
His playing is so all-enveloping and hypnotic that I almost forgive him for playing the same fingerpicked arrangement for almost every song...

i was bored senseless. i did like when he called out the soundman for doing blow.
