Title: Salons
Post by: Sage 703 on February 05, 2008, 04:26:00 pm
Anybody have any recommendations?  Time to find a new place to get my hair cut, and I'm picky enough to want to go to somebody good, but not so picky that I have a specific idea of what I want.

I think this has been covered in a couple of other threads. I asked a few years ago, and a fellow boardie pointed me to one of the stylists at Bang on U Street, and she's always done a great job for me.

Elena is my stylist. My wife has also had favorable results with Dino and Jim. She also had someone do a not so good job at their Verizon Center location; I think it was one of their newer hires.

Here is london, giddy london
Is it home of the free -
 Or what ?

 Can you squeeze me
Into an empty page of your diary
 And psychologically save me
 Ive got faith in you
 I sense the power
 Within the fingers
 Within an hour the power
 Could totally destroy me
(or, it could save my life)

 Oh, here is london
Home of the brash, outrageous and free
 You are repressed
 But youre remarkably dressed
 Is it real ?
 And youre always busy

 Really busy
 Busy, busy
 Oh, hairdresser on fire
 All around sloane square
 And youre just so busy
 Busy, busy
 Busy scissors
 Oh, hairdresser on fire
 (only the other day)

 Was a client, over-cautious
 He made you nervous
 And when he said
 Im gonna sue you
Oh, I really felt for you ...mmm...

 So can you squeeze me
 Into an empty page of your diary;
 And supernaturally change me ?
 Change me, change
 Oh, here in london
Home of the brash, outrageous and free
 You are repressed
 But youre remarkably dressed
 Is it real ?
 And youre always busy

 Really busy
 Busy clippers
 Oh, hairdresser on fire
 All around sloane square

 And youre just too busy
 To see me
 Busy clippers
 Oh, hairdresser on fire
 (only the other day)

I've heard GREAT things about Ryan Mitchell over at Vidal Sassoon Tysons Galleria. They even have special rates for those who are interested in modeling - (703) 448-9884

How far in advance do you have to schedule an appointment at Demians or Bang?

Bang has an appointment scheduling device online, which allows you to pick time, date, stylist, etc. It really just depends on who the stylist is and when you can go. You have to use your email address to sign up and log in and use the device.

What about in Montgomery County in the Germantown to Rockville area? My hair has been getting a bit shaggily in the back and sides and I guess with a girlfriend I need to have more self respect than to cut it myself....

Leave it be. Chicks dig the long and shaggy look.

Dudes in America (especially DC) tend to cut their hair too short.
