Title: Mars Volta question

Does anyone know if the last Mars Volta show at the Rams Head sold out in advance?  I'm guessing it did, but I'm just checking.
 
 I want to go to the show in Sept., but I won't know for a few weeks if I'm going to be in town that date or not.  I'm guessing I should just get a ticket and know that I can sell it later if I can't make it.

unless it's a financial strain, i'd say this is the way to go.

Exactly, buy your tickets PRONTO once they're released.  Just a heads up though, you're better off getting them through the Rams Head website and not Ticketmaster.

Yeah it sold out and a friend of mine that wanted to go had to get his tickets off of StubHub (there was a lack on Craiglist at the time...).  I think he ended up paying $200+ for a couple of tickets, plus their fee.  I'd jump on getting the presale tix if at all possible for you.
 
 On a related note, anyone going to this show and seeing them again at ACL five days later?  It's going to be epic.
