thought this would be a fun thread: what are your favorite LP sides?
 
 i just listened to the first side of "Doolittle (http://www.google.com/musicl?lid=V1ZrbpEE9IP&aid=qe-FXrQD4RF)" four times in a row, it's pretty fucking incredible:

 Ditto on Doolittle. I would also have to say that Side 1 of the Queen is Dead by the Smiths is up there too.

it's almost over-kill ... the rest of the album is great, but in a much different, less-direct way ... the first side is just so remarkable that you don't even want to flip it over

When the Baltimore power-pop band Starbelly played IOTA a few weeks ago they did a really good job on the Abbey Road side 2 medley. Starbelly are great... I wish they'd play DC regularly

HIGHWAY 61 REVISITED
 One of the greatest albums ever, but side 1 is superlative:

Nice.  Ballad of a Thin Man is Dylan at his scathing best.
