yup, both NYC shows for me (hopefully, dependent on my ability to score tix).

if anyone is looking for a recommendation, the toronto show at massey hall should be amazing.  it's a beautiful, classic venue.  and of course seeing them at the greek theater would be amazing too.

SR's live show gets the biggest possible recommendation.  this is a show worth traveling for, if your life situation allows for it.

surprise surprise - im going to the second night of the new york show - ill be at the dandy warhols on their first night.

im hoping tix are easier to get than the fiasco with trying to see them at the moma. and hammerstein sold out so damn quickly i have a feeling this is going to be another nightmare.

the only thing i can think of that might help some out is the first night theres a bunch of other bands in town - swell season in central park and the dandy warhols at terminal 5. that might ease the first night a bit granted theres always shows in NYC but at least those are announced.

Sep 22 - Washington, DC @ 930 Club*

Let us know how the setlists are looking for the Dandy's. It's a shame A Place to Bury Strangers and the Charlatans are only doing west coast dates with them and not the DC date. Never heard Darker My Love, who's the opener in D.C.

Darker My Love and our other opener, The Upsidedown, have been airing on Air Atlantic Underground (http://www.live365.com/stations/airatlantic?site=live365) ever since the station was launched. I think you'd like them knowing a bit about your taste in music. Both bands fit right in with the Dandy's sound.

Not happy at all that Sigur Rós isn't playing anywhere near our area. Even if I could snag a NYC ticket, it's just impossible for me at this stage to get up to NY to see a show. Have to agree with Sweetcell that their show is superb. Probably the best show I've ever seen in my life. Incredible musicians!

It was hard getting presale tickets to Sugar Ray this morning. It sucks that there is no DC date. I would love to hear "Fly" in Hopelandic form.

They'll announce a 2nd leg eventually. They're skipping most of the east coast, southeast, and texas.

There will definitely be more dates.

both NYC shows completely sold out.  i couldn't even pull up a single.

there are rumors on a SR-related message board that this is only the first half of the north american tour for their new album, and that there will be a second leg before the end of the year.  hey seth... (again).

I can almost guarantee this is the case. If you look at their past itineraries, they always do 2 separate NA tours to hit up all the markets. The one they are doing now doesn't include any of the Southeast or Texas. I'd say around December they'll come by our way (In November they've got mostly european dates scheduled, so December seems likely)
