I didn't really expect it to. I mean, he played Black Cat in February, and I don't think he sold that out. So you move it to a venue over twice the capacity in a market MUCH smaller, you've got to question how well it's going to sell.

I don't care, free tickets are good for me.

I got one of those free tickets too.

But I'm not going germantown->richmond on back to back nights. And I'll be in dc until 9 tonight anyway.

I thought he sold out the black cat.  Oh well, we'll see how the turnout will be tonight.  I'll be the one heckling him.

I could be mistaken. But still that's 800 tickets sold in DC. Why would you think that'd lead to 1500 sold in Richmond?

Pretty good show.  When he played at the Black Cat did he play solo stuff or did he play with like the opening band as well as he did tonight?

He did a bunch of solo stuff, then Benjy Ferree and his band (who opened) backed him for some songs.

Which caused me to walk out, everything was good up to that point but GODDAMN they sucked backing him up, sorry just had to vent on that one as they ruined which up to that point was a pretty good set.

Yeah I must say his solo stuff was pretty good even though it was like two or three songs only.  Good shit.

Wonder if Daniel Johnston is a fan of Radiohead with that being played as the background music.
