Title: Stupid weather
Post by: MonkeyPants on February 12, 2008, 08:15:00 pm
I'm just bitching about the weather.  I really wanted to go to the Liars show tonight, but I think I want to not fall and break my ass/arm/leg/face more than I want to go to the show.  Stupid weather.

Fair enough, but rubbing it in would have been telling you that Venerable was home all day because of a President's holiday, weeding the backyard and getting it ready for a BBQ tonight with a bottle or two of Provence (http://www.peju.com/new_shop_buywines_provence.htm) watching the Potomac Primary returns...

In all seriousness, I just saw that MD extended the polling hours an extra 90 minutes because of the weather.  Be safe out there.

I went out to grab some food and my steps and entire sidewalk was a clear sheet of ice, my relfexes are awesome.

My car had ice over the keyholes so I had to take my roomies car, it was SO lame.

Then I fish tailed my roomies car, thankfully nothing was on the road but me.

 Scary weather out there.

I still went to the show. It started about an hour late.

Supposedly No Age had a close call with their tour van on the way over and repeated a few times during their set that they were lucky to be alive.

Both bands put on solid, entertaining sets.

I had a 7pm interview scheduled with the Liars. I live in Annapolis. Left the house at 5pm, it took me 30min just to make it back around the block. The whole city was shut down. I never made it to DC. Too bad- I wanted to see the show.

its pouring up in nyc - which just sucks with more snow expected tonight. im backing out of the duke spirit show tonight because after last night - it was a nightmare. nearly slipped on a sheet of ice but some guy grabbed me stopping my inevitable fall.

foals were happy to see the snow - most the crowd was not. and they were so awesome that it was worth it. they're supposed to be coming back in may when their album is released (only playing one other show in seattle). I left the show to face freezing rain with no umbrella. an hour later i was home with soaking wet jeans and jacket and pretty damn sure ill be sick soon!!

Haha...it was seriously impossible. They closed down the Severn Bridge so I couldn't go anywhere! I tried to leave at 5pm!

Her house isn't finished yet. I go by it on my bike ride so a have been able to see it's progress.  Tiger's house is still under construction too, and Greg Norman's house is up for sale. With the real estate market being so slow I'm trying to get him to put a Maserati Quattroporte in the garage for the lucky buyer.
