Title: Hotels

This has probably been asked here before...
 
 where is a good place to stay in DC?  
 
 We don't need luxury, just an average place in close proximity to the METRO with some good bars to hit after the show. If I remember correctly the 930 neighborhood isn't the best place for after/before show partying...  any suggestions would be appreciated.

Any hotel in NW downtown will be pretty easy to get to and from the club.
