Title: Unimpeachable dance songs
Post by: Tom Servo on December 30, 2008, 05:28:45 pm
So, I'm putting the last of my NYE dance mix together and I'm looking to round it out with a few classic songs that are sure to please any diverse crowd of NYE dancers.  Any genre and any era, what are some can't-miss tunes that make nearly anyone dance?

you cant go wrong with

Rob Base and DJ EZ-Rock - "It Takes Two"

or anything by Michael Jackson, i like "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough"

for a few more underground tracks, i'd go with

Prodigy - "Outta Space" or "Everybody In The Place"
Armand Van Helden - "U Don't Know Me"
2 Bad Mice - "Bombscare"
Baby D - "Let Me Be Your Fantasy"

i once played "i ran" by the flock of seagulls 4 times in a row on a jukebox... the first time people were bobbing their heads, the second was kind of funny, then real anger started to creep in on the third and fourth spins

speaking of which "i ran" is an unimpeachable dance song

I don't know if it's danceable but "C'mon C'mon" by Von Bondies makes me wanna freak speed dance.
Sorry, Koz, I'm over "Love Shack!" But "Blister.." is still good!
