FUCH YEAH
-
Dr. Heli?

I'm excited. All we need now is Rodan opening...although it was the other way around last time they shared a bill.
-
I hear Mary Timony was responsible for breaking up the band..
-
best news i've heard in a while.
-
Woohoo! Chapel Hill in the house!!
:)

It seems like this will have less people than last time they were here. but those who attend will make up for it by blowing their minds? rock post rock > feather of forgiveness > fractured like chandeliers s'il vous plait? Forgive me...I am in france right now.

My friend's wedding is causing me to miss the Boredom's (for his bachelor party with a bunch of his douche bag college friends) and Polvo (for his actual wedding). Bastard.

When were they here last? I guess I don't follow the Black Cat's listings as closely as I follow the 9:30 Club's.
I don't think I've seen Polvo since they were in Atlanta in 1996 or so... did they go on hiatus for a while?

polvo toured and broke up in 1998. two of them formed black taj, who opened for trans am at the black cat in 2002. i also booked them at the warehouse next door in 2006. they were pretty damn good.
as much as i'd like to think people care about polvo, in this city, they don't. it'll be an empty friday night unless some hip opening band is on the bill.

Sad but probably true.

Yeah...i was referring to the '90s. I saw them once with Pipe and once with Rodan, both at old BC.
