I think they're now better at sounding like vintage Smashing Pumpkins than the Smashing Pumpkins are.
New tune, "Panic Switch," is pretty great:

i like this band, and i think they will be around for a while, and eventually take that Pumpkins sound and make it into something more original, and yes, probably better.
-
Their show at Recher was a keeper.
-
Still love them....
Looking forward to the new album.
-
I like "Panic Switch" as well, hope this means the album is on the same level

fully agreed. hope they make it back there.
-
They were great at American U opening up for Snow Patrol..although hardly anyone was there to see them
-
I hope they do a local gig soon, just so we can get an appearance by The Director.
-
I don't know why, but I didn't expect fans of theirs to be on this board...It's good, don't get me wrong, just surprised. (and I remember thinking the same back when they toured DC)

Wow. That's awfully soon. You'd think someone who knew them really well would have a copy by now...

unless, of course, that person was talking shit and doesn't actually have any pull. talking the talk, sure; but walking the walk? not so much.
