Anyone else afraid the show on Saturday is going to get cancelled?  It's not looking good.

youtube video of the myrtle beach show was really awful.

It will be my third time seeing him, but each time, I like him more, so I'll be sad if he cancels this time.

15th-ish row in the middle on the floor.  It seems that's where I sit for every show these days.  We were at the same spot for the DAR show last time and it was great.

I think we got nosebleeds Row T on the floor but hopefully we can see everything, that is if he plays.

I saw that. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some random illness came over him and he cancels all the way up to the DC show, which would suck infinitely. Is he allergic to the Southeast US or something?

To what point exactly.... Why bother even going to a concert if your only going to spend it watching it through a view finder, you might as well stay at home and watch crappy video uploaded on Youtube by others.  Do you think you'll watch these videos again a year from now, five years from now, etc... I just don't get the point of needing to record low quality video and uploading for others to watch it, plus it often goes against the wishes of the artists involved.

Hey do they serve alcohol at Warner and if they do can you bring to your seats or what????

Yes they do and no you can't.  Last night's setlist:

This Charming Man / Something Is Squeezing My Skull / Black Cloud / Billy Budd / How Soon Is Now? / All You Need Is Me / How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel? / Ask / Mama Lay Softly On The Riverbed / Seasick, Yet Still Docked / Let Me Kiss You / Best Friend On The Payroll / One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell / The Loop / Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself? / The World Is Full Of Crashing Bores / I Keep Mine Hidden / Sorry Doesn't Help / Death Of A Disco Dancer / I'm OK By Myself // Irish Blood, English Heart

Not sure about the shirt on/off stuff.

Looking forward to tonight.

Show was great.  I didn't hoard any videos like I did from the Richmond show because they were all so strict there with even having a cell phone.  My friend was able to go from our seats to the very front of the stage so that was cool.  All in all good show.

They really need to release the version of "How Soon is Now" that they played (they also played it at Wolftrap a year or two ago). It's so intense, and the gong/ drums at the end really set it off. The band worked similar magic with "Death of a Disco Dancer."

He pulled out a few pretty obscure songs: I Keep Mine Hidden (Smiths B-side and possibly the last song the Smiths ever recorded) and The Loop (B-side from Kill Uncle).

The set list via the Morrissey Solo forums:

This Charming Man
Billy Budd
Black Cloud
Let Me Kiss You
How Soon is Now
I'm Throwing my arms around Paris
How Could Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel
Ask
Seasick, Yet Still Docked
Something is Squeezing my Skull
Death of a Disco Dancer
You Say You Don't Love Me
It's Not Your Birthday Anymore
The Loop
Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself
Best Friend on the Payroll
I Keep Mine Hidden
Sorry Doesn't Help
This World is Full of Crashing Bores
I'm OK by Myself
Encore: First of the Gang to Die

You must have been quite pleased he played it last night then.  Sounded great live.

Good show, but I found it lacking somewhat, compared to previous local shows.  Can't quite put my finger on why.

it did sound great... thought it was a fun show, not exceptional or anything... pretty heavy on the slowish theatric songs, which was ok with me... i would've liked to have heard anything off of "queen is dead"

moz seemed pretty pissed off at the big rent-a-cop standing in the stage-right aisle during the first half of the show and sending people back to their seats ... in between songs moz had a huddle with his own security guy and sent him around to have a chat with the rent-a-cop, who left soon after

being able to bring drinks back to the seats was great... warner is infinitely better than DAR

red cortez was impressive, had some good ryan adams-y moments

It's extremely rare (really rare) drinks aren't allowed at seats.   For almost every show (concert, theater, comedy, even dance) the Warner allows drinks inside all seating areas.

I thought the show was great, but not as good as the last one at DAR.  We also went to Ceiba before the show.  Yummy!

Really loved hearing Death of a Disco Dancer and Why Don't You Find Out for Yourself.

Band sounded great and his voice was not messed up...so thumbs up from me!

good show. Morrissey's band is pretty tight.
Red Cortez, pretty good the first 4 songs, then I snoozed, then back up for the last two.
Been awhile since I've been to Warner. Cozier than DAR and the staff isn't as militant. A little wait for drinks, but over all, I'd go to another show there over DAR. The crowd was especially decent too.

joe, if you're going to be an indie snob, please do it right: arrive in time for the opener, realize they are better than both the main act AND jesus, and leave before the headliner so you can blog about it before everyone else.  stop being half-assed about your hipsterness.

Get with the times, Sweetie. You text it in before the 1st band even hits the stage, then leave. Guaranteed home well before midnight so they get a full night's sleep to make it in to work the next day where all the other professional surfers join them online thinking how cool those were who claimed to be at said show.

Welcome to the Hipster Matrix.

Don't know what your problem is, or sweetcell's but I hope it's alright to be a little disappointed sometimes. I did not come to the show just to see the opener but I had high expectations going in, esp. after the Wolf Trap show. Granted I also considered going to the Philly show this coming weekend, but I'm not so sure about that anymore.

i agree, he didn't go with a lot of upbeat stuff... even "ask," which is usually pretty fucking chipper, sounded kind of down

i kind of liked it... but the ideal setlist for me is 75% smiths, 15% bona drag/your arsenal, 10% new stuff, and i know that isn't going to happen, so whatever

Joe, hush your mouth. Questioning the perfection of St. Morrissey the Almighty is not allowed by hipsters in denial.

Never mind that he hasn't put out a great album since  he parted ways with Johnny Marr, and that most of his solo stuff is shit. Please do not question the perfection of Morrissey. After all, he did save the lives of a generation of losers.
