We got the chance to do a 19 x 25, three-color screen printed poster for Dean and Britta's show at the Black Cat, February 27th with sweltering Keren Ann headlining. The poster is an interpretation of the lyric "and Father is toasting the rain." You can check out details at El Jefe Design (http://www.eljefedesign.com).
On top of that, we are doing a special sale on posters where you can get five random posters from different shows around DC over the last year. Super cheap at our store (http://www.eljefedesign.com/store/index2.html).

What do you mean by "sweltering Keren Ann"? And why does the headliner get second billing on the poster?
-
Sweltering as in her singing is wonderful and overpowering. Headliner gets second billing for two reasons: 1) the show was originally billed as Dean and Britta headlining until it was changed and 2) Dean and Britta were the ones to ask for the poster.
-
i'm excited/intrigued by this sale. how long you expect it to last?
-
Ah, gotcha.
I read an article about another show on their tour which said that the audience seemed to be very split as to who they were there to see. Either way, I think fans of each will be happy with the other.
The article said it was a coheadlining thing, with each getting equal time. Any idea if that's true?

The sale will last until I take it down. The response has been good and I am stuffing tubes with as much stuff as possible. The tubes will be so full you can use them as baseball bats. It may last a week, it may last a few more hours, it may last forever, I have no clue.

Where is the comment box to enter which 5 we want? :p
-
Also, didn't I order a clinic poster from you? I received it but now I don't see it anywhere on your site, was looking for its measurements one day to order a frame.
-
19 x 25 in the usual size.
-
Sweet...I've been wanting to order some posters from you for a while, so the mystery sale is perfect...
-
Yeah, there are about 15 different posters I will be sending out with varying styles so you should be happy. I am choosing who gets what by having my seven-month old son pick. Seems to be working so far.
-
who are the 15 bands? :)
What if I order 2 sets..will I get 10 different posters? :)

I can not tell you which ones, it keeps the fun involved! If you email me I can do my best to make sure you get different posters but since we are literally wrapping dozens of tubes things get iffy. Either way, you'll get some good stuff and some you can eBay to make your money back.

Just received my first mystery tube and it's awesome...just placed another order....
-
Hopefully you get something different then as a few tubes had similar things. Thank you for the order though and next time, if there is one, please let me know so I can switch it up on purpose.
-
mine arrived yesterday. THANK YOU! your work is spectacular, and i was especially pleased to find the dinosaur jr poster, which i've been admiring for some time :D

Glad you are happy. I took down the offer so you may have been the last one. Washington Post Express has a shot of the SWEET Exhibit featuring my work. I am happy to say there is a cuss word and a naked woman featured. So high class!
