but don't underestimate hollywood's ability to stoop lower: just read that miley cyrus is the front runner to play the female lead. she hasn't even auditioned and she's the lead candidate. no, i'm not making this up. (http://news.yahoo.com/s/eonline/20090519/en_top_eo/124759)

It's Chace Crawford, apparently the lead on "Gossip Girl."

Chace is playing Kevin Bacon's part - not Chris Penn's.

And I would argue that Nate Archibald (Chace's character) is third behind Dan Humphrey and Chuck Bass as far as male airtime on Gossip Girl.
