Thanks for posting this.. I heard about this but had not seen the article

Its no secret the DC Govt wants a mid size venue .. this may be a bit bigger than I had hoped but it would be good for DC

As I said earlier if Seth doesn't build it someone else will.. its only a matter of time because there is a need for it.

Would MSG do its own promo/booking or what? Could they be just a rental for IMP or Live nation? How do their shows in NYC work?

In any case this could take years but a refashioned local music scene adding the Fillmore up in Silver Spring and the MSG venue to the current venues would only be better for the DC concertgoer

Bowery sometimes books shows at MSG-owned theaters - esp at the Beacon Theatre and it seems Radio City lately has had a lot more Bowery presents shows.

id imagine they do their own bookings for the bigger shows that happen at MSG and some of their other places.
