Title: Does 9:30 Club tear tickets at door or do they scan tickets?

Curious if I will have my entire ticket stub intact (untainted) for an upcoming show. 

Have they started to scan the bar codes and thus do not tear part of my ticket stub? 

Or are they still not scanning tickets and just tear part of the ticket at the door?

no scanning - the door staph will tear off one side of the ticket, which is designed to be torn off.  you'll get to keep most of the ticket stub, which includes all the pertinent info (name of show, date, price of ticket, etc).  the part they rip off isn't meaningful.

you'll be left with something like the image below... note that the right side has been torn off:

the above scan isn't mine... amazing what one finds on the internets.
