Title: Feds to loosen up regarding medical pot
Post by: azaghal1981 on October 19, 2009, 01:08:00 pm
Linkage (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091019/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_medical_marijuana)

So, who wants to go in on a dispensary in Ca or Co?

And does  prescribing garbage like oxycontin which has probably done more harm than good over all being perfectly acceptable/legal while a  much less detrimental/equally effective alternative's remaining a schedule I substance seem completely backwards to anyone else?

I live in the ahem "Mile High City" and I will just say that there has been an explosion of dispensaries in the last few months after the Colorado Department Of Health decided not to limit dispensaries to five patients each.  Check out this article http://www.westword.com/2009-09-10/news/medical-marijuana-is-a-pot-of-gold-for-dispensaries (http://www.westword.com/2009-09-10/news/medical-marijuana-is-a-pot-of-gold-for-dispensaries) and in fact the Westword has been reviewing different dispensaries.  Of course, us Denver voters voted to legalize it under city law a few years ago.  ;D

I DO, I DO.  Thats a long trip; we would need a long playlist of trippy road tunes.

So, who wants to go in on a dispensary in Ca or Co?

Check this out. If you pay close attention, you'll notice that they are all ready to party down!

Hey, man. Don't bogart those brownies. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zizS76elpiU&feature=player_embedded)

The world may be crumbling down around our feet but, at least, one thing is going right.  8)

wtf is he saying at 3:20?  "psychoiedic"??

yeah, half that panel looked giddy at the thought of legalized medical marijuana/legalization of all marijuana (and let's not lie to ourselves, the two are hard to separate and too often support for the former is in hopes that it will lead to the latter... all the better, i say).

pot brownies at the CVS can't come soon enough.

Don't you think that would have been more appropriate at 4:20?

President Az and 9:30 cupcakes for everyone! But let's call them 4:20 cupcakes.  ;) Yum, yum, YUM!

Watched this again just for laughs.

The word he stumbled over was 'psychoactive'. Listen to the entire sentence to get the context.

I've even got the whole menu mapped out in my head.

Yes, I know I'm putting way too much thought into something that will never happen.

But just think what it would do to cupcake sales! Both 9:30 and 4:20 cupcakes.

Green weed tacos
Fields of weeds salad
Mellow yellow banana bread
Ganja Chia tea
Cafe au verde
Muncho cheese & chips
Mary Jane's pizza
Roasted vegetable and herb paninis

People really would go to the 9:30 Club for the food!  ;D

"Ganja Chia tea
Cafe au verde"
Didn't even think of these. Awesome.

Don't forget the hash oil burgers/chicken/fries.

And milkshakes.

I'm guessing shredded weed on a salad wouldn't taste that great, though. And doubt it would have much of an effect.

But a hash oil-based salad dressing...

Cooked with 'all natural hash-oil'. Good selling point!

Az, the trick is not just in the wording but also the recipes. You don't leave any of the normal (no pun intended) greens out. You just add a few extras. Depending on the dish, some would be shredded, etc., but others would just be grinded up like oregano and sprinkled. That's when you don't want to go too over powering. Learn to flavor them too, maybe with lemon soaking or something.

Other specialties of the house:

Greek stuffed marijuana leaves
Mint chocolate chip hash oil brownies (the oil gives it a minty fresh taste)
Rosemary, fennel & herbs focaccia

Now that I think of it, seems that I have a marijuana cook book around somewhere. Bought it many years ago, on sale, but never had the opportunity to use it. Maybe I should look around for it. By the time I finally find it, maybe I'll just be able to do something with it. Az, my place for dinner.  ;D  Well, that is, after it's all 'officially' legal.

Leave it up to the Colorado Court of Appeals, which is made up almost entirely of former corporate defense counsel, to screw it up for everyone:  http://blogs.westword.com/latestword/2009/11/_inside_the_board_of.php
