What's your fav song @ this moment?
I'm fallen hard for this new Twilight Singers:
Forty Dollars
http://www.myspace.com/twilightsingers (http://www.myspace.com/twilightsingers)
It would have been a standout track on the Whigs 1965.

Your top tune?

it's still: hot chip - "the warning"

Yeah, they are both very good.
My friend Seik, whom you kind of know, has done some work with The High Violets after I turned him onto them. They are playing NYC in May and have a couple open dates. I am hoping so much that they play somewhere in DC or Baltimore! Kurosawa really likes them too.

"Nerve Pylon" by the Lines, an absolutely fantastic yet obscure British post-punk artist from the late 70s/early 80s. I included this track on the most recent mix cd I made to folks who come out to my dj night at Marx Cafe (We Fought the Big One). Overall, more people tell me this is their favorite track on the mix than any other. Think of every wonderful superlative you can think of and multiply that feeling by 1,000 and that about sums up how excited I get about this song. Btw, the little indie label that could Acute Records is releasing a 3 cd (!) set of The Lines music sometime over the next month or two. A must own, all the way...

After Friday, I can't get "Uh Oh Hello" out of my head. Which is funny, cuz it wasn't a favorite Elefant song of mine (that would be "Misfit"), but it was a great set ending song -- it's got more punch live (like so many songs!).
