we are looking to get gigs in the area, but we have yet to see how people take to our material. Take a quick second to listen to this. I think you will be very very very surprised! Especially since it is a home recording. (sounds proffesional and highly original). tell us what you think!!!
here is the link :) just click 'play hi-fi'

I didn't listen, but I assume it sucks.
-
well, assumption is not as wise as fact. why would you assume that it sucks?

He's just trying to show off in front of the regulars on this board. And his kung-fu is weak, weak, weak.
I listened and it's really not my cup of tea at all. But for for those into prog-y primus and tool type stuff without vocals it may be a hit....who knows. Really I don't know shit about this kind of music though so I can't really say, but for what it is I don't think it sucks. Awful short song though.

you might want to try jacksonville, florida

It was better than Arctic Monkees, Death Crab For Cutie, France Fedinand...and about a trillion others.

You've got me there. In all honesty, no I have never even heard a song by Radiohead...and that's just like I like it.
But I can say that I find instro metal bands much more so tolerable to the ear than here-today Brit-pop.

i'd agree to a point, i think this album is one of the most compulsively listenable albums (wait for it) OF ALL TIME!

Explosions in the Sky=probably the closest any of us mortals will get to heaven.

And your opinion of everything has just been nullified.

I love Pelican as much as the next guy, but if you're being serious about having never heard a Radiohead song and claiming that post-rock is a greater genre than Brit-pop, then I think you need to reevaluate your tastes.

I never claimed that.
But thanks for the advice. You have really straighted me out. I'm burning my CD collection in a heap upon the floor as I type this missive.
I'm moving to College Park now to enroll and become enlightened.

Then what is it you were saying here?

Oh never mind, now that my CD collection is just a heap of charred, molten plastic all my musical opinions have suddenly vanished.

Actually I was just asking you to clarify what the fuck your point is.
-
I don't have a point.
But I agree with what markLe once said in reply to this argument: He wished that he had never heard a Radiohead song either.
FYI, I never prattled on and on about where I graduated from and how hip folks who come from there are.

Neither did I. Someone posted a clip from my school newspaper and I commented on that. You, being the elitist asshole that you are, decided to make fun of me for attending my state university. I hope that makes you feel good about yourself.

Actually this is the most fun I've had all week...just to show you how pathetic this elitist life is.
