incredibly excited for this. when's the last time they hit DC? i think it was a 930 club gig about 6 or 7 years ago and i missed that because i was sick. anyone think this sells out?
-
In. Buying my ticket tonight although I'm not sure about a sellout.
-
Definitely in.

I gotta say, my last experience seeing them reminded me why I usually don't like nostalgia acts. They sounded just like the records only with less energy and enthusiasm. They must have been incredible at the right place in time-- however well they play now, it can't hold a candle to that.

I'm in. Buzzcocks 2010 is still a hell of a lot better than most bands that are supposedly at their "peak". It'll be a fun time.
-
I'm very on the fence on this show and this thread is not helping!
This will be a gametime decision...
-
I'm in, and can't wait!

Well thats good to hear! I'll dig out my warped copy of Singles Going Steady and walk four blocks to the Cat on Tuesday and hope its not sold out....
-
on stage in a little less than 48 hours. 8)

How was it? Did anybody catch a setlist?
I'm seeing them in NYC this week, but I'd honestly be 100x more excited about a Magazine reunion in the States. Shit, even a Pete Shelley solo show. (I love his solo work, and kinda wanna hear him do "Homosapien" over and over).

It's on Tuesday.

there...first time seeing them...
-
I saw the Magazine reunion DVD from a couple years ago and good gawd is it FANTASTIC. That's one on on my list I need to buy. Great stuff. Love that band. Robby from the Goo Goo Dolls once told me that "Homosapien" could have been the best Buzzcocks LP. Not sure I agree because I love the new wave-y sound to it, but it could have been interesting to hear what their version would have sounded like. "Witness the Change" is one of my favorite Pete Shelley compositions.

I'm also in!

Show is close to selling out according to Black Cat

I really enjoyed it too..
i've always just loved the buzzcocks and the black cat is such a great place to see a show.
-
incredible show!
-
What a blast! But, my back hurts...
-
Had planned to go at the last minute and then my brake hose burst and I ended up fixing that instead. Really disappointed.
-
wow what an awesome show! son of a bitch sold out too which was nice for the band i'm sure. my body hated me today.
-
Caught the Ottobar show. Seems the BC might have been the first date of the tour. Openers, meh, Buzzcocks kicked it though Pete often looked irked with Steve who seemed to be having a blast though somewhat blasted.
Highlight was the encore.

All you say was true at Black Cat.... I get the feeling Pete and Steve are very different people... Was Steve drinking champagne again?
-
Steve is the punk rocker...Pete is the sensitive romantic. Something about the 2 balance out, but yeah...they're VERY different.

yup that Buzzcocks show at the BC was an effin great concert. High energy, wall of guitar sound, and Pete Shelley's voice as clear as ever coming out of that pudgy 50-something's body. Amazing, and surprising. And some serious slam-dancing going on amongst the oldsters and young'ns. Had a grin on my face the whole time ...
