funny.
i saw coheed & cambria open for explosions in the sky years ago.
there were something like 20 total people at the show. i wasn't too intoo coheed & cambria then (nor am i now), but it was a fun show overall.
the guys from eits and i had a good laugh talking about that show and where c&c is now as compared to where things were that night.

Am I the only one who does not see the point of the constant barrage of DJ threads? Unless someone asks what a song was that was played, the only purpose they serve as far as I'm concerned is for someone to go "*I* DJed!!" Big whoop.

it serves a couple of purposes...
one there are some trainspotters that attend shows who want to id a song that was played. plus it lets people not attending the show to find out what played and maybe prompt them to pull out a record they hadn't heard in awhile.
in the absence of DC radio stations playing new music it's nice to know what other DJs think is worth hearing.
should the lists be posted elsewhere? possibly and this has been kicked around but nothing finalized...

nice to see Big Black and Birthday Party getting a spin
I like the DJ set lists but only because I want to be able to post them someday!

This is why I like seeing the lists. Keep 'em coming.

I love all of the DJ lists.
Like Kosmo said, sometimes it helps us to id songs we are trying to pinpoint. Also, it's a way for some of us to live vicariously for several nights when we can't attend various shows and DJ nights. It also helps to encourage a few of us to get out and patronize some of the other DJ nights around town. Our DJ friends are a wealth of musical information. It's yet another way of sharing in the love.
With Kosmo's lists, I always get a kick out of trying to figure out who he played what for. He does that sometimes, you know, be it a person or a particular group of people. ;)
