Title: Running my first 1/2 marathon, and raising money for charity.

Hello fellow board members (I got this cleared before posting it),

Last year, I lost a dear friend, Julie Kline Rybczynski, to leukemia.  I decided a good way to honor her would be to raise money for a local cancer center here in Maryland.  I am participating in the Maryland 1/2 marathon on May 15th, and have a fundraising goal of $1,500.00.   This will be the first time I have both run a race this long and participated in fundraising, but I am sure it will be a great experience.  I will be sure to keep you updated along the way.
 
Please consider contributing in any way you can to this endeavor.  All contributions are 100% tax deductable!

K8teebug, I just did this myself for Crohns and Colitis in December.  You can count on a donation from me.

It is a wonderful experience - I enjoyed it so much I'm a mentor now for the group and am helping train folks just like you for the Napa to Sonoma half marathon in the summer.
