Post by: blipvurt on March 04, 2011, 02:54:49 pm
Trying to come up with a list of Baltimore concert venues:

List so far:
Ottobar
Sonar
Ram's Head Live
Golden West
Wind-up Space
Bourbon Street
Recher Theater (close enough)

What am I missing?

And yes, Floristree are still active but I cannot for the life of me find a list of upcoming events. I guess they like it that way.

If you are going to include closed venues:

Girards (Saw Juluka there but missed the Ramones),
No Fish Today (before my time),
Max's on Broadway (saw The Feelies), and
Power Point Live used to have a music venue (saw Dumptruck).
There was also a venue in Market Place in the 80's but can't remember the name (saw The Feelies).

Can also at M&T Bank Stadium to present day list.

The only Pearl Jam show I ever saw was at RPI Fieldhouse in Troy, NY right around the release of their debut.

They opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers (the headliner) and Smashing Pumpkins. I only caught a couple of songs. As lame as they were, they were still the best band of the three.

Saw Crenshaw, Dinizio & Freedy @ Mojo.  Looks like it's been gone since '06.

1 - Have no clue
2 - closed
3 - closed

Think the Paradox (some convoluted connection with the Lo-Fi Social Club) also closed but not positive of that.

This town sounds pretty cool.  I wonder why it gets bashed so often around here.  Just sayin'.

What ever happened to the Thunderdome?

What ever happened to the Thunderdome?

Gone for quite a while.  I think there was a fire there.  They moved to White Marsh area as "House of Rock", and that I think is no more.  Used to do sound there on occasion.
