How big is the Black Cat backstage and about how many people would you say it can hold? I want to check out a show in a few weeks but wonder if it may sell out due to its small capacity. Thanks.

Backstage
Open 9pm during the week, 9:30pm on weekends
Tickets available at the door only!
The Backstage is located downstairs next to the Red Room Bar and offers an intimate, no-frills, cabaret/coffee house-style performance space with a capacity of about 150. Recent events on the backstage have included indie, punk, and garage rock bands, solo artists, DJ dance nights, monthly spoken word events, and independent films. Doors for the Backstage usually open at 9pm on weekdays and 9:30 on weekends. The opening act goes on 1/2 hour later. Tickets for Backstage shows are available day of show only.

Even with its smallness, it's unusual that it sells out, because generally they don't book bands that have a big enough draw to sell out.

Would it sell out with The Essex Green? I won´t be in DC for that show, but their albums are very decent.

thanks for all the help!

Here's an idea of what the Black Cat looked like last weekend during Bliss (http://www.flickr.com/photos/capitolcityrock/sets/72057594117576456/), courtesy of Flickrer Capitol City Rock!
