We've moved onto Lil B, whose 'I'm Gay' is the best thing out right now

People are waiting for the return of Earl.

Yeah, that's a good point. There's a feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop, that the band is incomplete until everyone is back and accounted for. Plus I think Tyler's Goblin wasn't quite the world-changer that people thought it would be and it provided an incentive to move on to other things.

I doubt anybody could have met the expectations so many had for that record. The last hip hop record I remember such high anticipation for was The Marshall Mathers LP.

I still want to see them live. Glad interweb hype is gone...or is it?

They're touring Europe right now, which is why the buzz has died down here a bit. It's all the rage over there right now though.

Completely agree.  It was good but because the bar had been set so high people couldn't help being somewhat disappointed.

I still listen to Earl all the way through more than I listen to any one song on Goblin. I liked Goblin, I just thought he was trying a little too hard. I dunno. I wasn't disappointed, it still has it's moments. I think "She" is amazing and their live show is incredibly fun.
