Title: Jane's Addiction to release our remix of "Irresistable Force"
Post by: MindCage on September 23, 2011, 08:12:01 pm: My band Mindless Faith did a remix for a contest, and while we got second place in the popular vote, the band selected us as the overall winner. The track will be digitally released by EMI

You can hear it hear, as well as check out honorable mentions, etc. My personal favorite is the Surf rock mix! :D

Yeah, I largely agree with you. Jane's from 89-91 were just about my favorite live band ever. Anything since, even the original lineup in '09 has been quite weak by comparison. Some things age well, but they didn't.

From the couple new songs that have come out, though, I think this has promise. The new songs are pretty interesting, so maybe they will regain some of their glory. I never even heard "Strays" but then again I don't think anyone else did either.

It was all over after they broke up the first time. The Relapse and NINJA tours were definitely worth seeing but everything else has been an embarassment.

Post by: i am gay and i like cats on September 28, 2011, 07:31:35 pm: i think dave's "career" and "showmanship" over just giving the music/talent the top bill, ala david lee roth, is what ruined him in my opinion. does dave even play good guitar. or did the persona just get him "buy"? but . . . one could say the same about perry. without lolla, what would he be doing? djing kids doing tina to loud boppitty blips, or even a porno for pyros reunion?
