Title: The Hamilton's Hours
Post by: rich_WDC on April 27, 2012, 03:48:24 pm
So, D.C. isn't the 24/7 kinda town The Hamilton envisioned??

They've taken down the open-all-time reference from website and hours listed are pretty standard 1am/2am sorta thing.

Even if they couldn't keep up the 24hr concept (whether it was hassle factor or licensing issue or ratio of cost vs profit), a  3am or 4am close woulda been cool.

Wonder if this is just a final determination or if the hours would be revisited (e.g. during summer time)....

Was it 24/7 up until now? I was surprised at the 24/7 schedule when they opened. Maybe they just couldn't get staff to cover those hours. But, I assume it's a DC thing or they are clarifying an overshoot.

I know...someone here said, again, "this is why we can't have nice things," because the fucking assholes who show up between 2 and 5 am ruin it for everyone.

twenty four hour entertainment?  it is called life.  people that have to have places to go for entertainment, don't deserve to be entertained in the first place.

being  open 24 hours is the kind of thing that takes time to catch on..probably a lot of people weren't even aware of it..people have to adjust to it...

on the other hand, probably their financial numbers haven't been that good since they opened and they decided this was an easy way to improve them...

Black & Orange wasn't 24 hours though, I think they were open til 4..... I think being open 24/7 is a little much, but being open til like 3 or 4 thurs-sun doesn't seem so bad.

B&O was open until 5 am every day before they scaled back.

Speaking of the Hamilton, have they been cancelling any shows due to low ticket sales? I have tickets for Simone Felice and the last I checked (about a week ago) there were four reserved seats sold TOTAL...
