the late 80's early 90's "indie" reunions are getting out of hand. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I have a feeling not a lot of money will be made on this tour. Did you ever see them before? Hands down the best live band I've ever seen. Lots of people use the old "blown away" phrase on this board, but they were truly awe-inspiring live. I think I still have a piece of David Yow's tshirt from when they played the second stage at Lollapalooza.

One of the greatest live bands I have ever seen. Having seen Scratch Acid play a few years back, it was evident Yow still can go. Looking forward to seeing them play, hopefully in DC.

You can keep your Jesus Lizard. i'm holding out for the return of Jesus Christ.
-
I saw Duane Denison playing a couple of times at Iota as Bobby Bare Jr's guitarist. He was alright.
-
Damn I was hoping for Jesus Jones. This is good news too.

This is such amazing news! Put me down in the "blown away" camp. Saw them many times and it always ruled. The last time I saw them involved a Dave Yow full frontal naked masturbation incident. How many bands do you see that you can say that about?
-
They are the only band I've seen where I have literally felt the bass in my chest. Their guitarist is top notch, their singer is insane and their drummer looks like he's having an aneurysm. This is really fucking cool and I hope they play DC. Thanks for posting this nkotb. Good stuff.

Amazing.
I thought my chest was going to cave in at MBV but I've never seen TJL. Hopefully I'll get a chance to change that soon.
-
Awesome! I saw them at Lollapalooza. The crowd cleared out when they hit the main stage, which was great for me because I got up against the barricade. Let's hope for a DC date.

Para-frazin the best reunion tour evah:
We got back together around a common cause: your money.

Are they really getting together for the money? I doubt it. I love JL, but the last time I saw them there were no more than 50 people in the club - and that may be a bit on the high side. Still a great show.

Saw them at the old club...what an insane show. I saw Helmet there not even a week later. Those were the days of some really intense shit. JL was recording across the street from my house in Chicago (at Albini's place) and one day I walk out there and my dad was talking to Duane. I promptly went to rescue Duane...too funny.

Is the show I linked above the one you saw?

I saw them on December 15, 1993. David Yow spent about 90% of the show in the audience. Those shows were so damn physical. I think I watched it from the rear left corner where you could stand on that ledge thing, so I had a bird's eye view the whole night. It was intense.
