Sorry if this has been covered here, but I can't find it if has been (sorry).
I got floor tickets for the 9/11 Muse show and got "paperless tickets".
Saying I need to present my credit card at the box office upon entering.
How does that work exactly? Do they then print our tickets with the seat numbers?
Because, how do we prove what seats we have?

Your name?

Your name?
Is this a joke?

I'd assume it is like Will Call, even if they do say "paperless"... You give them your card, you're the only person who uses your card and used it to buy the tickets....? I mean. 2 + 2.

This is the way ticketless works at Verizon from the ACDC show. They will have scanners at the door you give them your credit card used to buy the ticket. They scan and print out a paper receipt for you. That's it pretty much. You can't get tickets before show, entry is when doors open. You're welcome, and you can buy me 10 beers at the show.

i'm noticing a major flaw in their paperless system.

Getting conflicting stories. The useless Verizon Center CSR said I'll get a print out with my seat assignments. I called Ticket Master and they said there are no seats on the floor. That it's standing room only general admission. Even though my confirmation e-mail from TM gave a section, row and seat numbers. She said that was for inventory purposes. So who the hell knows at this point.

There will be a specific entry to gain access to the floor, they'll swipe your credit card upon entry and then after navigating a few hallways and stairs you'll be on the floor (you can't access the floor from the seated sections). The entire floor is general admission (i.e. NO SEATS) so you'll be standing the entire time and where you end up on the floor is where you can find a spot.

Straight from the Muse Ticketmaster listing.

Haha well this is from what I remember from the ACDC and maybe Coldplay. But for sure I got a piece of paper for ticketless ACDC show.

Did AC/DC have assigned seats on the floor?

worked like a charm for ac dc and as described above...
only thing is make sure your credit card is still valid and take id with name matching credit card just in case... other than that its hard to see how anything could go wrong
and yes ac dc had assigned seats on floor..
-
Right on, I think the disconnect is that the OP didn't realize that there are no seats on the floor.
