Title: Why does Live Nation/Ticketmaster lose so much money

You would figure that they would be raking in the cash. Ticketmaster has outrageous fees and has I am sure most of the ticketing revenue in the country.  And Live Nation is a big music promoter.  If Live Nation can't make money on booking an act or promoting a tour just don't do it.
