I'm a long time fan of Cedric n' Omar. I'll be at the show. I'm just as excited about Le Butcherettes though. Teri Gender Bender is awesome. Coming off the tragic death of Ikey Owens this show will be bittersweet.

Love Cedric and Omar. Seen Volta live one time and it was insane. Hopefully tickets won't sell out before pay day! The album is alright, but seeing those 2 live is worth the ticket price. I need to keep listening to it and it might grow on me.

this is the two main dudes from the mars volta.. the guitar guy with the fro and the operatic herky jerky singer have created a new group and changed their name.... its apparently more poppy.. they're playing the rock n roll hotel (in some circles referred to as the "blowtel")

I checked them out yesterday. No thanks. I could not get into them, at all.
But this gives me an idea; I should start a thread for every band that I listen to. I think that is a wonderful idea and imagine the rest of the forum would agree.

Julian, we will definitely hang out one day. I was not ducking you at Slowdive. I MIGHT have passed you outside before the show, but couldnt remember what kind of stripes your shirt had, and by the time I checked my message again, you were gone. :'(

You know, I'm usually loathe to listen to people complain about sold out shows being "crowded," but that was easily the most jam packed show I had ever been to. Went downstairs to use bathroom at one point and it took 8 minutes to get there. Balcony was 5 deep.

I went to the show. it was pretty fun. The RNR sound was not as terrible as I have experienced in the past. Le Butcherettes were a sight! Terri Gender Bender rocks. Seeing Cedric and Omar together doing their thing is always fun to see and hear as well. It was a quick one hour set that did get the crowd moving.
