AC/DC - MetLife Stadium - next Wednesday
CONS:
*Lengthy drive for a show that won't be too long
*Setlist will be pretty predictable
*Need to find a ride
*Need to convince/ask the wife (Work is already on notice that I may be away)
*$120+ ticket
PROS:
*No need to wait til winter or spring for the band to come locally (assuming it does)
*Guaranteed to be a fun time
*AC/DC tunes and legacy: loud-in-a-stadium!
Thoughts??

I vote not go.*
But in all seriousness, you have more cons than pros...
(*full disclosure: I do not like AC/DC)
-
I've seen AC/DC easily 10 times over the last 30 years or so, and I would probably say no unless you've never seen them.
Then I could be convinced that all that trouble and cost is worth it, but it would take some convincing.

Wait, would you be wearing a suit?

Wait, would you be wearing a suit?
If so, it should be a suit like this:

Yes, but crocheted.

AC/DC put on a great show if you like their music (i do) and absolutely should be seen at least once.
the only problem with waiting for them to appear here next year is their age... who know if they have 6-12 months left in them. they've already lost Malcolm to dementia and other old-timer diseases. how far behind are the others? so by waiting, you're taking a chance that you might never see them.
p.s. cool tribute to Malcolm: https://vimeo.com/127202532

I'd say no.

In all likelihood, Hells Belles, AC/D-She, Thundherstruck, Live Wire, or some other AC?DC tribute band will be playing at the State Theatre soon.

Also, if you go, you must do this:

Thx for the feedback. At this point I'm way under 50%. Tour starts tomrw so maybe will see if inspiration hits after seeing setlist or online reports.
Even though cons outweigh pros arithmetically, there's no denying the power/emotion of concerts and rock to make (stupid) decisions!

True dat

everytime i see footage of Angus from back in the day with all that non-stop head bobbing, I can't see how he didn't end every show with a raging headache....

I think the ship has sailed. That's a lot of money to spend on a band that is years (if not decades) past their prime.
I should have gone when I had the chance but they're kind of in that "too late" category now along with the Stones and Motörhead.
