Al Anderson Wailers with Aston Familyman Barrett at Howard (sad)
Ty Segall at the 930
so amazing it was an out of body experience and cannot be ranked or compared to: Ace Frehley the greatest guitarist ever.
show breakdown by state:
DC- 7
MD- 6
VA- 4
PA - 1
This year I did not go to that many shows but next year I'm hoping to go to more....
additionally I taped most of the shows I went for only the second year.. while i don't listen to them its nice to have them...
a big change from previous years is I discovered Ramshead Live in Baltimore is a really great place to catch shows... another big change is that for the first time in probably 10 years I did not see any show at the State Theatre...
I welched out of a few shows I wish I'd gone to this year...for different reasons.... Luna at Birchmere, Television at 930, Sloan at RNR Hotel come to mind, Teenage Fanclub, Robyn Hitchcock (twice!)...
I have to say now having competed my list and looking at it again its not too shabby...

Year ain't over! Still some time for more icons to die, for more ugly political stuff to happen.
And concerts are still booked for another few weeks.
Wait til January to reflect back!

Wait til January to reflect back!
A famous poet once wrote:
The end of the year lends itself to reflection and self-awareness about that which passes into night whereas the new year is better served by introspection about that which unfolds as dawn gives way to day.
