I thought the crowd shots were fake until I found the stream. Sweet Jesus. Seeing the empty bleachers as well. Hundreds of police guarding nothing. Amazing stuff. Just.... wow.

I think in these situations you have to realize you alone cannot change everything but you do what you can to make things better in some small way.
On my Facebook feed, I have been posting Taylor Swift memes every few minutes since 10am to help Make Social Media Great Again and give people a distraction and I must say, I think its really helping some folks cope.

I am so bummed out though.... not so much because of Trump..that is taking the easy way out.. he wanted to be President and he did what he felt he had to do to get there....I am bummed because I am so disappointed in the American people...... a fittingly ugly DC winter day
I saw a headline in the WSJ that said something like "Trump agenda starts today" or some such.. he has no "agenda" other than accumulating power for himself and influence for his family.. that is his only "agenda"... and he will do whatever he needs to do to get there.... he is virtually completely unchecked at this point... it will take something really extreme to peel away support of enough Senators to stop him and he will resort to Executive Orders to do whatever he wants anyways..

unfortunately not. he has plenty of agenda items that we need to fight against: he has already deleted all references to climate change on whitehouse.gov (http://motherboard.vice.com/read/all-references-to-climate-change-have-been-deleted-from-the-white-house-website) (go ahead, give it a try). his speech - which was super angry - was all about isolationism and protectionism. yeah, those really work out well.
