For some unknown reason, every track I listen to prior to the one being currently listened to is scrobbled as having been listened to 5 hours earlier than it was actually listened to.
This has been the case ever since I've started scrobbling and I've just now gotten to trying to addressing it so it's not a recently-occuring issue.
E.G.:
Sir Richard Bishop â?? Quiescent Return now listening
Add this track to your playlist Sir Richard Bishop â?? Rub Al Khali 5h and 6m ago (should be listed as "just listened")
Add this track to your playlist Sir Richard Bishop â?? Elysium Number Five 5h and 8m ago
Add this track to your playlist Jay Reatard â?? feeling blank again 7h and 1m ago
Any ideas as to what can be causing this?
Oh and what's with the 930 group forum's being dead for the last three months?
And this group's collective top listened-to artists has to be the most predictable list ever.
I mean come on now! (http://www.last.fm/group/9%3A30+Club/)

Something to do with a time zone setting somewhere?
-
This is what I'm thinking. My timezone on the website is set right; does the scrobbler have its own setting?

Well I was hoping that some of my "open minded" listening would some how corrupt the chart, but alas no such luck...
-
Only timezone setting I can find is on the website and that's set correctly. Damnit!
And yes, I know something this petty shouldn't be this aggrevating but it is.
As far as that chart goes, a combination of Jaguar, Snailhook, BookerT and myself should fix it right up. :)
The noise/drone group (http://www.last.fm/group/Noise+and+Drone) I also belong to has a little more variety in its chart but there's still a hint of generic hipster there too.

maybe we need to setup a last.fm group where the criteria is an open-minded index of a 100 or higher...

damn. mine is 89!!! fuckers.

I qualify by your scale, but you don't want my songs on your elite list.
-
I have no qualms with mainstream pop appearing on such a list. It'd make the taste range a lot wider than it is now.
-
Sweet. They like me, the really like me.
Wait. Is that all you think of me? Mainstream pop??!?!?!
Just kidding. I like all kinds of pop!
-
I figured that's what you were implying. Mainstream pop, that is.
-
Reinstall time.

Success!
The timezone setting in my control panel was set to GMT. Oops. :o
Yeah I'm stupid.
-
I didn't know there was a last.fm group. consider me joined

mine is too but i was having the same lastfm problem...what did you switch the time zone to instead? that seems to be the only proper eastern time zone option...

Eastern US.
