Tower, other than that you're fucked for buying cd's at all in DC. The small good ones all shut up shop because folk now steal....I mean 'share' music from the internet now.

I looked for the 4 CDs I ordered from Amazon this week. 2 were cheaper at Tower. 2 were cheaper at Amazon. Turns out I could have saved about $3 had I bought everything from Tower.

Tower's not bad at all when things are on sale.

Post by: HomesickAlien on April 07, 2005, 09:32:00 am: So far I just got to visit the CD Game Exchange after I stood in front of a closed DC CD (my Washington D.C. guide seems not to be updated), but I am going to check out Crooked Beat Records which - I must have missed that - is also in Adam's Morgan.

And you can usually find good stuff at CD Cellar if you are willing to wade through the clearance section, the "slightly scratched" section (I've never had a problem with any disc there) and the regular section. They seem to have a line on promo copies of newer indie acts, often at $1.99. The Falls Church store is better than the one in Clarendon.
