I clearly followed the metal / classic rock / prog/ indie evolution. 😁
-
I don’t have a count near me but if we are only counting headliners, Smashing Pumpkins, J Mascis/Dinosaur Jr, Dismemberment Plan and Thievery Corporation are definitely at the top of my list.
If we are including bands we saw as headliners OR openers, then QOTSA and Explosions in the Sky need listed too.
-
Oh yeah I seen Thievery 5 times.
-
I count them if I saw them live regardless….
It’s very interesting seeing the lists…makes sense to see jam band acts at top as they lend themselves to repeat shows and tour every year…even my top act -Bob Dylan- was almost like a jam band in that he toured incessantly for a while (averaging 90-100 shows plus…)

FYI we discussed this in 2009 (https://forum.930.com/index.php?topic=18533.0). it's a great re-read ;D
no change in my #1, still radiohead/thom/associated side-projects, over 20.
near or into the double digits: thievery, rollins, U2, NIN, the various incarnations of jack white, pearl jam, DCFC/postal service/ben solo... probably missing a few.
-
Old 97s might be tops. Maybe 10+. Probably
less than 20. No idea really though.
-
DCFC/postal service/ben solo...
Oh, if all things Gibbard counts as a collective bucket, that needs be added to the bottom of my list.
As I was thinking about this in the back of my head, I feel like Flaming Lips is close to double digits as well for me.

-
Impressed about Mountain 🐐!
For a while it was one of if not my top listens…1994-1996 but I sort of moved on…it was just too intense!
-
Thinking about this it seems like I have unconsciously self-regulated to max out at seeing a band/musician 5 times.
Stones
Dylan
Grateful Dead
U2
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Pearl Jam
Radiohead
The Strokes
White Stripes
I think I saw them each 5 times.
