Q: Much like your columns over the past two years, you've embraced mediocrity with your choice of Spurs. Welcome to the EPL.

SG: Thank you! Great to be here.

I'm not a rockstar like you, but I do have a rockstar's ego - I've got to find small amounts of fame anyway I can.
Thanks for noticing, nonetheless.

The Sports Guy is Bill Simmons, a columnist on ESPN.com - and personally, I think one of the funniest writers out there today.

considering the person involved, I would have guessed SG = Suicide Girls

twas a fun read, but definitely on the weak side and he was too easily swayed by the propaganda sent his way by various fans....still Spurs are my sleeper pick for this year and now havw $$ in the bank to spend after Man U's disastrous purchase of Carrick
-
He is a great writer, but he should stick to sports he is more knowledgeable about. As a fellow Boston sports fan, he's a joy to read since he devotes A LOT of time and effort to Boston related issues; case in point the recent column debating who was more clutch, Larry Bird or David Ortiz.

yeah but chelsea can't be a sleeper pick as 2 time defending champs and the arse have a pretty amazing record over the last 10 years given their meagre resources

sorry, i wasnt clear (happens when you embrace brevity)
if you're going to go for a london team, why go for the third best? i'd figure he'd hate going for the biggest city being a bawston dude
