I think Roots Manuva and Fallacy would beg to differ
-
Roots Manuva and Fallacy are probably the best in the UK hip-hop scene. The Streets and Dizzee are UKG.

scroll back my friend, thats NOT what i said.
thanks to the ability on this board to misquote people.

have to say though, I'm a bit surprised that Dizzee Rascal is listed as the opener.. I feel like at least as many people know him over here whereas the Streets have been pretty lowkey. I would have thought they would have an equal billing.
-
This show is on sale now right? I thought it was going to be tomorrow, but it looks like tickets are already available.
I will be getting mine tonight.
-
i was caught off guard by that too. i saw them listed on the "just announced" and thought it was just an early listing and wouldn't be for sale thursday. but i trotted over to the club after work that night and picked them up.
and yes, i agree that dizzee is more well known in the mainstream than the streets.
should be an interesting crowd mix.

If by that you mean white male indie kids, then yes.
-
actually, i meant the indie crowd, the brits, the somewhat hip hop crowd, and then the true hip hoppers that came for dizzee rascal. ie, a diverse crowd due to both being on the bill.

I'll co-sign with walkie on that. Dizzee and the Streets is a show strickly for the indie crowd and the backpack rap fans.
-
yeah, i dont think too many "tru hip hoppers" have quite gotten down with the Rascal
is this th "fish and chips, yo" tour?
-
Brit Hop, yo.
Oi, know what I'm sayin', like?
-
Just got my tickets for this. The new Streets album is great, but now i cant afford to buy it after all those service charges ;)
I wish i lived in DC. (just this once)
