"I Wanna Hold Your Hand" by John, Paul George and Ringo.
While driving my junker w/o a cd player today on a Costco run, I was roaming the FM radio band and was treated to this ditty by Nickelback
Figured You Out
I like your pants around your feet
And I like the dirt that's on your knees
And I like the way you say please
While you're looking up at me
You're like my favorite damn disease
And I love the places that we go
And I love the people that you know
And I love the way you can't say "No"
Too many long lines in a row
I love the powder on your nose
And now I know who you are
It wasn't that hard
Just to figure you out
Now I did, you wonder why
I like the freckles on your chest
And I like the way you like me best
And I like the way you're not impressed
While you put me to the test
I like the white stains on your dress
I love the way you pass the check
And I love the good times that you wreck
And I love your lack of self respect
While you're passed out on the deck
I love my hands around your neck
And I know who you are
It wasn't that hard
Just to figure you out
Now I did, you wonder why
Why not before, you never tried
Gone for good, and this is it
I like your pants around your feet
And I like the dirt that's on your knees
And I like the way you still say please
While you're looking up at me
You're like my favorite damn disease
And I hate the places that we go
And I hate the people that you know
And I hate the way you can't say "No"
Too many long lines in a row
I hate the powder on your nose
And now I know who you are
It wasn't that hard
Just to figure you out
Now I did, you wonder why
Why not before, you never tried
Gone for good, and this is it

Yeah the durst factor has had a terrible impact on mainstream music. one of the reasons why i never listen to fm radio anymore...'cept for the oldies station and npr.
hate the durst. asshole.
-
durst also caused the pollution of the airways with bad 80's covers... it's a shame when nickleback is ruling the us charts and sloan has to warm up for jet.
-
he is bald and he likes good music now!

He did it all for the nookie.
-
he's always been bald, why do think he always wore the stupid red baseball cap... i'll never forget the quote about him being from the south which is why he worn the cap... yeah right

Buddyhead said it nicely:
Yes that is a Sonic Youth shirt he's wearing in the photo above. It's like seeing Satan wearing a shirt with Christ on it. Shit is wrong.

The least congruent person/t-shirt pairing I ever saw was in a Chicago video in 84 or 85: Peter Cetera was wearing a Bauhaus "Bela Legosi". I think the director chose it.

I can't seem to get the MP3 to work anymore...: https://webspace.utexas.edu/sdb55/livejournal/nickelback.mp3 (https://webspace.utexas.edu/sdb55/livejournal/nickelback.mp3)
Two Nickelback songs are played side by side. All the hooks and chord changes are interchangeable and the songs basically end at the same time.
You're right Kosmo, about Limp Bizkit causing others to make bad covers...Just thought this the other day when I heard an original song massacred over the air ways..("It all began w/ "Faith" ")

don't forget, in the "hanging tough" video (i think), donny wahlberg is also wearing a bauhaus t-shirt.

If you think reading these lyrics/hearing these songs is bad, think of us poor souls who work the pit when these types of bands play the club and bring out every knucklehead in the metropolitan area.

I'm largely in agreement with his assessments of those lousy-assed bands. Rob_Gee_a.k.a _Guiny gets my vote as resident rock critic.
...poor taste in politicians, though.

Actually If Kerry wins, I will not be complaining, right now I dont know who I'd rather have in there. Actually, I do, Bill Clinton, but we know that won't happen.
